Monntag elvis's 80th birthday 2024! 0500. channel 2 PBS: FUNNY
WOMAN! It's brilliant, ole chap. "She was a working gurl/north
of england way" (Blackpool actually) "now she's hit
the big tyme"....in 1964 London. I love the clothes, i love
the music (Leslie Gore/Pet Clark/Matt Monro; r and b; bluebeat;
instrumentals, as background music, "hippie hippie shake"
on a transistor radio)...the former Miss Blackpool figgers there's
more to life, moves to London, it's winter and they're puttin'
shillin's in the utilty box and freezin'! (5 dec '64 we moved
up north and my uncle shovelled coal in my grandmother's furnace)...comments
on our lass; "oh she's Northern" (equals southern in
the UK!), "where'd you get that accent"...it's almost
My fair lady! lastly, she idealises Lucille Ball whom I am related
to TWICE through BOTH parents through John Spencer of east greenwich,rhode
island! Looking forward to more of the series, rek-KEN-mended!"...

saturday 6 jan 2023. 88 rewind is on 0600-0800 WMBR doing
radio surveys. this week 13 Jan 64 (willie loco 21st birthday!)
WIBG 990 AM,philly. one month pre-Beatles and lotsa great r&b
on charts! 0651 they played the Drifters doing "Vaya Con Dios",
lead vocal was amazing! ALMOST the highlight of my day....

the British invasion oldies so I was SO happy to hear Herman's Hermits
"Henry the eighth"; dug it in '65, still not. DEAD PEOPLE
FACT: My father descends from Agnes Harris Spencer, wife of hartford
Ct founder William Spencer. She has Royal Descent. How DOES this
make me feel? Agnes Harris (1604-1680 maybe) is tenth cousins three
times removed to Henry VIII! add about eleven generations of removed
for I and I. mutual ancestor: Sir Geoffrey Fitzpiers (Bee Gees b-side:
"Sir geoffrey saved the world"). Has a wikipedia entrey
as Geoffrey Fitz Peter, first earl of essex (c.1162-1213). "prominent
member of england goverment during Richard I and John.". 800
years later (1176-1976) I am prominet member of Gismos and 1165-1965
i hear "Im henry the eighth, i am"...well i am!

day of Thor 11 Jan 2024. 0300. coast to coast AM. tribute
to Ian Punnett, who not only believed in same Supa Natural
stuff as me but was also a fan of music! (read FAN Attic). One treat
was an interview he had done with the Cowsills (COast to Coast AND
COwsills? WOW sill!). Did some googlin' and you CAN access a podcast
of said interview. "But in closing, let me say" ("Shine
on brightly"-Procol Bore-um?) DEAD PEOPLE FACTS! Ma Cowsill
were of some Quebecoiis extraction; last name was Robert dit some
damn thang from France as a 1600s soldier to BOUCHERville in New
France (the ONLY place to live!) and Famous Kin descedants: Hillary
Clinton and Kelsey Grammer! Thus:a Susan Cowsill/Hillary bill (she'll
tell us about UFOs!) and why not another actor in the White House?
Kelsey Grammer! Maybe they make Canada French our official language?
They got MOI vote, me!"..

Trackblaster sez at 0604 day of Wodin 10 Jan 2024 wuz played "Greenfields"
by the Brothers Four (Les Frere Fier?). TOTAL Camp lejeuene water
flashback! "Greenfields" was a 1960 45 and there was a
Brothers Four gretest hits came out in '62 that Ma shirley had;
I even remember dearest Marilyn (Dad's distant cuzzin) RIP cover
of Life magazine, Jacksonville NC coffee table. SO pre-Beatles I
remember said song from ma playing it on a Telefunken Dad got in
Deutschland".

Freitag 12 Nov 2024. Anklin Dan PRESENTS! He
even introduced the show like Ed Simian did on Lancelot Link,
secret chimp. Norris the Terrible opened up.
Punkabilly/roots rock/bluesy...VERY impressed by one guitarist
playing VERY bluesy lap steel tuned to A flat! (?!). Mad
Painter played like the ghost of Saint James/Saint Matthew
Burns was watching: "Mott the Hoople meets Uriah Heep";
exquistive (Sharon) Needles and (Julie)
Pinz harmonies and the Boys in the band stoppin' on a dime with
endings; Anklin Dan DOES, indeed, love this bank and '70s prog
and ditto! which order? unsure! Good to see Mr and Mrs Sprague
doing KEN Followz...well, they WERE there to see me,right? Da
closer wuz Connor Storm and his bouquet. I had
threw an extra tambourine into the crowd (versus "into the
sun") and Connor was beatin' up a storm. "punk glam
Americana" i wrote with a touch of polka! One Flynn Young
doppelganger played trumpet AND mandolin, Connor sings/plays acoustic,
there was a sax; an intersting lineup diffrent from Buddy Holly's
Crickets traditional two guitars/bass/drum. After, talking with
Connor and company, gave them a Galaxy Cake sticker (they at Jungle
this Friday Jan 18) and THEN the BGN cards went like tickets to
Willie Loco! "oh is that YOU?" (non; est le cousine
de jack Kerouac!"). "I love the BGN". told them
i was gonna review the show, i am a man of my word, despite being
a man of MANY words AND "a Ken you dont meet everyday"!"
