                78! ten bucks..."it's no secret", walk through Mr. Farmer's 
                market, Phluph festival the weekend next (dat Bosstown Sound shlock-a-delic 
                band played da Blowfish Tea Party, Al B. Sure). "Who luvs 
                da Sun", dis Beach Boy cuzzin wuz wiped out! made Blowfish watch linda blair movie Roller 
                Boogie, which iz as bad as it sounds. 19 dec 79 release; 
                sorry, i musta seen david minehan at the Rat wid da Crocodiles 
                plus: HARLEQUIN! Even Harlequin WITHOUT Matt Gilbert iz better 
                than this roller disco movie! Wuz Linda Blair datin' mah distant 
                cuzzin Jim Dandy then? allllllll rahhhhttt....after my Willie 
                Loco nap, I DID hear da Unnatural Axe in Linkin Park and they STILL

              Sonntag ides of September 2024. da Scy-Fy channel does 
                usually show Plan Nine-level kino and "Lazy Sunday" 
                had Warm Bodies, 1 Feb 13 release. A Zombie boy named 
                R falls in love wid a regular live gurl name Julie; Zombie boy 
                collects records and Julie calls him "a purist and a hoarder"....I'm 
                gonna listen to a Fraulein who dances to Bruce Springsteen "empty 
                heart" album on vinyl? At least there's an Armageddon scene 
                with the Scorpions "rock me like a hurricane" playing; 
                a 45 I "got into" drunk at Deli Haus and even raved 
                to Casey Lindstrom of the Jetts about...finally, 
                drunken pain in arsch, he usually walked away saying "yeah,yeah 
                Scorpions"...AFTER Ken/Gee Julie/Miss Lyn went to remnant 
                brewing Oktoberfest for fake beer and pretzels ; regretting I 
                was "Too Tired " for saturday night techno dance party 
                there BUT "Bodies.....Need....Rest"

               Dienstag 17 sept 2024. playing some 15 for $25 r and b 
                45s from Eddie B whom spun at da Sugar 
                Shack. "Great deal!" texts captain easychord 
                (at union tavern friday 27 sept 2024). 
                I had "100 pounds of clay" b/.w "Tower of strength" 
                double A-side oldie; the Captain ALSO a record wonk texts: "silver 
                spotlight series was united artists oldies re-issue label". 
                "100 pounds of clay" is a "common " 1960 oldie, 
                but even better was the 1961 "Tower of strength"! (Til 
                now, HOPELESSLY OBSCURE to me!).BUT, "Good captain Clack" 
                out-wonked me again: "I have "tower of strength on the 
                burt bachard box set the look of love", a comp oi'm way tew 
                pocky t'buy; ye kin learn more'n a wee bit frum clann Maxwell!

                day of Wodin 18 sept 2024. after Ken and Gee Gee 
              Julie sang along to GG allin's "you 
              hate me and i hate you" and "bored to death" on youtube, 
              i found a 2020 Somerville Grooves bag of 45s; musta been raidin' 
              the caribean collection. Played my $20 copy of "Mona Lisa" 
              by Lord cobra and the martiniques; captain easychord 
              texts: "costa rican garage rock?" Nein! Lord Cobra wuz 
              a big-ass legend in Panama as a calypso singer! I jammed along with 
              "Mona Lisa" and could play "Hernando's Hideaway" 
              from da pajama game. Dis IZ on a Panamanian label and discogs lists 
              it as for sale $21 and chump change PLUS is a youtube but, like 
              the Turtles , it's in my "hot little hands". My love of 
              calypso musta came from my parents Harry belafonte records and circa 
              "questions '67 and '68", believe I bought Ma the Harry 
              Belafonte albums she lost during "D_I_V_O_R_C_E). either way, 
              gotta check more Lord Cobra!

                day of thor 19 sept. opening paper bag of records, i purchased 
                Caribbean 45s from somerville grooves during 2020 lockdown. So, 
                another winner is a ten dollar copy of "what is yours is 
                yours" by the Society Playboys with Bert Innes. 
                Lotsa double entendre lyrics on this Trinidad label pre-dating 
                Los Gismos by decades! Society Playboys backed up lotsa calypso 
                singers and Bert Innes worked with the Mighty 
                Sparrow! Record wonks will love this'un: Geets 
                Romo had a portland maine record shoppe and his customer 
                wuz Robert Zimmerman. Chris Brood had 
                to go to college class, so missed this encounter (y'all can ask 
                Geets dis). DESPITE there being Kenne records in the shoppe (Geets 
                dealt with solomon gruberger and roland kaiser's cuzzin) Zim bought, 
                among others....THE MIGHTY SPARROW! dat versus Moin WOrld? der 
                answer ist "Blowing mid der wind'! (Geets said: "I had 
                just sold him a book of local poetry, which he is holding. He 
                also bought a big pile of records including LPs by The Barbarians; 
                Drifters; Mighty Sparrow, etc-ed)
