Well...word is we can all share in the post-wedding celebration with the happy couple at The Kirkland this Friday , October 28th, it's the Kirkland Halloween Party and what better time, right????" Saturday Oct 29th at TT's are The Bags, Muck & The Mires, The Classic Ruins …Frank Rowe has told us that he will be debuting a new song he wrote for Denise Donahue Rowe (who passed away this past summer. The song is acoustic guitar with harmonica. October 29th is also Denise's BIRTHDAY!! So go out to TT's and remember our friend Denise Rowe!!!…but that's not all, also on Saturday Oct 29th , over at The Skybar in Somerville there's the Lizzie Borden & The Axes Reunion Gig!! this is the original LBA line-up and we gotta tell ya, the girls reunite for one night only, so if you have lots of fond memories of those days the Skybar is the place for you my friends…. their set will begin at 11:30. Also on the bill are the Syphilloids and Wendy Farren …that's the Skybar at 518 Somerville Avenue, Somerville, 617.623.5223 . jumping ahead a bit to Friday, November 11th is the Mach 5 CD Release Party at the Abbey!!! Their new CD; "Meet mach V" is on Lawless Records (yes as in Eric Law) and is available for purchase now by sending a $10 ppd (what a bargain!!) to: Eric Law , PO Box 689, Hingham, MA 02043-0689…or buy it straight from one of the members of the band at the release party!!…. ...and for this Halloween week news we find it fitting to open and close with Third Rail so here's some more news…a new incarnation of Third Rail is in development for four winter shows. It'll be Richard Nolan, of course, along with co-founder & guitarist Gary Soprano, long-time drummer Dave Birmingham plus former Third Rail guitarist Fred Pineau (and one more player to be announced.) Stay tuned for info on shows….AND Third Rail soon plans to release two CD The first of the two albums will be all live tracks, (some donated bootleg) This live CD will include songs recorded at the Paradise Rock Club in 1983 and again 22 years later in 2005. It will also have songs recorded at the Naked Cage in 1988. How cool is that??
